I have been considering to buy a netbook for basic applications like
-web browsing
-typing and editing documents
-watching movies and listening to music
-downloading stuff(download a lot of movies)
I am considering a Netbook
something about this Netbook
Operating System Windows2000/XP/Windo
An Atom CPU with Intel GMA X3150 isn't a good choice for movies. The
graphics are somewhat crippled.
For document editing I'm not sure a netbook is a good choice. They're
more difficult to type on due to the undersized keyboards and a 10"
screen is pretty small for text. If you have young eyes it
Atom platform with Nvidia ION graphics would work for HD video
playback.

I sold my Asus Eee PC netbook for an iPad v1. No regrets.

Yup Ion works just fine for video. You may want to look around I've got
an Asus 1215N with the Atom 525 and am quite impressed with it thus far.
Still glad I got the model with the 12" screen too.
