Hi - I am new this forum. My question relates to receiving an
uninterruped broadcast through a Squeezebox for live albums ie discrete
tracks but I want them replayed seemlessly with no interruption.
Similarly some classical music (eg Colin Davis and the LSO's Messiah)

Some more information about your setup and how you obtain your audio
files would help.
My squeezeboxen play every note from beginning to end and my flac and
mp3 play gapless just fine.
Do you use an external DAC?

The Messiah files are AAC downloaded from iTunees

If the files are AAC lossy then there will be a gap if you are using
Windows and iTunes 7.
If the files are AAC lossless then there should be no gap.
There was also a truncation issue with AAC files in 6.5.x, fixed in
6.5.3 or 6.5.4 I think.
What OS and what version of SS/SC ?

I am using SC 7, Windows XP and iTunes 7 - my example (Messiah) is AAC
iTunes+ which I thought was lossless but the bit rate is only 256? it
is a live recording where it sounds like the conductor is singing
along! could that be a decompression problem?

Linn Records (www.linnrecords.co.uk) have a limited range of classical
music as well as Jazz and Scottish for sale online and they include

To do what you want you need to browse to the album and then to the
track and then press play. This will play that song and then the next
song in the album etc.
For this to work you need to have the following settings:
- settings \ player \ basic settings \ play other songs in album
- shuffle of
I changed the settings and now it works.
