I'd like to try out your app. Where should I install the program from?
I am using an HTC Mogu/6800/P4000 (whatever!) on XP w/ Active Sync. Any
tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there,
Maybe you would like to check out my approach to remote controlling
SqueezeBoxes with a PDA.
SlimControl is a PDA-based remote control for Logitech's Squeeze
network.

Testers are very welcome.

I would avoid the wording "Squeeze network" when you mean

Yeah, that doesn't work well at all!! Just bought the iPod Touch with
iPeng. Absolutely night and day difference between it and the SBC. No
hang ups, no fuss, really easy to use. Totally

For those that tried PDAs, how are you accessing SC? In the past I've
used remote connection on my WM6.1 PDA to remote into my server and
control the web UI.
Are there more efficient ways of accessing SC?

Well, I won't have to wonder about the Controller for much longer. I
managed to win a "slightly used" Duet on eBay for considerably less
than the cost of a new Controller alone.

You can do that on the iPhone/Touch with the iPeng plugin though.
Great though the iPeng plugin is however, it doesn't compare for
responsiveness with the Controller. The Controller is still better to
use that iPeng. Maybe tha
Can "now playing" be rearranged easily with the controller like you can
with drag & drop in the default skin of the Web UI? Moving songs up or
down in the playlist. This is something I can't do in any of the skins
on my PDA.

I have 2 controllers and in the past have tried to use a Nokia N800 and

Well, it depends on your PDA. The web browser that comes with the Palm
TX is pretty week -- there's essentially no caching, and the Javascript
support is spotty. And there are LOTS of annoying littl

Heh, if I noticed Peter's >=100x comment at all before I posted then it
only registered subconsciously. I don't have lyrics in my tags, but I've

I have a Palm TX that I've used from time to time to control my SBs. The
SBC is at least 100 times better than the Palm. The Palm is just too
slow, even using the Handheld skin. It's a good demonstration of how
much better a purpose-built interface can be than a generic http
interface.

Which PDA?
Controlling SC7 with my Palm TX is nowhere near as nice as using the
Controller. The Controller is at least a hundred times better. Really.
Downside of the Controller is I don't carry it around like my PDA, as
it has little use besides controlling SC7 and some X10 power & light
control
Can folks who have used both discuss the pros and cons of each? My PDA
has a 640x480 resolution, so in that regard it seems like the
controller is a step down.
I noticed there is a lyrics applet for the controller. Is this needed
to display lyrics if they are stored in the file tags? Currently I
