Difficult to explain why, but I could really use a squeezebox without a

I might end up using squeezebox as an interface only and having the music

Hence the need for one unit with a broken display, and one unit with broken
audio section.
When I said seperate the two functions, I meant seperating the
functionality, not seperating a physical squeezebox.

units--you could use the Shadowplay plugin to remotely control one unit from
the other:
