I'm creating the shortcuts from Windows Explorer - right click in the
folder then "New Shortcut". One of the shares is on a NAS (Netgear NV+).

Oh that's a shame as I remember 7.7.1 being pretty unstable on my server
as well. I'm sure there were earlier releases which were able to handle
folders which simply contained shortcuts to network shares. Or maybe
there was another trick to getting this to work. Does anyone
know/remember??
