Which SB is best for you totally depends on the requirements and usage
scenarios.
In my living room I like to see what is playing when sitting in the
couch and hence the SB3 is the best choice. Regarding controlling the
SB3 I prefer both the SBC and the IR remote. Using the IR remote

and I was able to get Ubuntu up and running with minimal effort. I
I suggest checking out 'Vortexbox' (http://vortexbox.org/). Its free and
runs a Linux OS. Ubuntu is another good OS choice and is free but
doesn't include SBS 7.4 already installed, but one needs a little
knowledge or learning of it. Vortexbox is basically hands off and will
rip your CDs to FLAC b
If you have no other use for the PC, use VortexBox. (I am not an
employee.)
Underneath it's RedHad Fedora but you don't need to know anything about
that.
You get Squeezebox Server and another web page that allows you to load
CD's, and etc. No technical ability required.
