Is it really WAV - could it be AIFF which is also PCM/lossless but has
different byte order which if played as WAV produces hiss.

1. Dont use VLC as a reference - vlc can play files where parts @ end,
the middle or the start is corupt or missing.

I strange issue I can't seem to find any previous posts on
I've got a 16 bit / 44.1 kHz .WAV file that just plays back as hiss /
white noise.
1. I can play other .WAV files without issue on my SBT.
2. This particular file plays fine on VLC.
What could the issue be?
