Are Apple ever likely to make their songs playable on a SB without
having to write them onto a CD and re import them? I would be much more
inclined to buy ITunes songs if they did. Apple are now talking about a
lossless compression option for their purchased downloads, I wonder if
they will be SB

google for itms drm free. If you're determined to buy and download music from ITMS you can do it without the DRM

Will Slimserver see iTunes on my main G5 disk as well as my music folder
full of FLAC Files on an external hard drive? Will it search in both
places? When I select the use iTunes preference does it mean that
Slimserver uses iTunes exclusively?

Does anyone know if is possible to partialy integrate with iTunes just enough to get the playlists?
I have not allowed iTunes to import all of the music, just index a file share, but it would be nice to make use of playlists built on the iPod. An alternative would be

I think I might look
into the parser solution - it could create m3u files from the iTunes XML and
put them into my SlimServer playlist folder. I'll have a play at the
w/e
