You may be unhappy, but let's look at the facts:

 - you bought a 2nd-hand electrical item
 - manufactured in California
 - which has no distribution in your country
 - from eBay
 - it is therefore of unknown providence
 - it was dead when you received it
 - you opened the unit (therefore invalidating any warranty)
 - you managed to fix it
 - it died again 4 months later


How much do you think it would cost to repair even if you could take it
somewhere in Ireland? Probably a minimum charge of €100 plus parts.

It's a shame you've been stung, but you really do only have yourself to
blame. It's certainly no fault of Slim Devices.
