Hi, I have managed to get LMS working on my laptop with my music folder
on that laptop. I can control/play no problems using the Squeezer app on
my Android phone.
Is it possible that I can also sync my music folder to my android phone

Hi there,
Renamed it to just FLAC will see what happens next already do a clean
install of SBS with a total uninstall of the previous version.
Will report back once I've rescanned.

If you just want SBS to ignore MP3 files, why not go to Advanced/File
Types and add MP3 to the types of files being ignored?
If you've got cue files, but keep your FLAC files as separate tracks,
IMO, it's a good idea to ignore CUE as well (but that has nothing to do
with your current issue)

Happened to me once. Reinstalling SBS solved the problem. Don't forget
to delete the playlist folder too.
I could not really pinpoint the problem. I think one of the reason was
disconnecting the external HDD where I kept all my music library. For
some reason, SBS was not able to see any files in
Maybe the ' in "Tim's FLAC" is causing problems? Try \\SERVER\Music\FLAC
instead (just create the folder and copy one album to see if it works)

No the playlist has only been set to the FLAC files I just wanted to
have my music all in the Music Folder and have removed other folders
and done a clean rescan but firstly removing the playlist.

I have a very simple structure, in the Music folder I have 3 folders
Tim's FLAC. Tim's MP3's and Playlist that is it but despite pointing SB
to uses only Tim's FLAC as my music folders it does nopt it pickes up
both the FLAC and MP3 folders.
In SB Music folder \\SERVER\Music|Tim's FLAC
Sound like you have a similar folder structure to me.

My Music/Home library/FLAC/Artist/Album/Title.flac
My Music/Home library/MP3/Artist/Album/Title.mp3
If i point SBS at Home Library it scans allmy files(this is my normal
use).
Over the past few days I have pointed at the FLAC or MP3 fold
Maybe if you describe your folder structure and how you have setup SBS,
so others can visualise your problem?
What entry do you have in Basic Settings > Music Folder?

I think there's an issue with your settings folder (as pointed out in my
previous post). It has a very odd name. Are you running SC as a service or
as an app?

I changed the error logging to Debug for the scanner and got the
following listing below. It seems to be looking in C:\Users\Marc\Music
as opposed to my Z: drive for music.

Check permissions. If your SlimServer is running as a service you either have
to allow anonymous read access on the share, or have the service run as a user
who has permissions to access that

You dont mention what OS you are running, so dont forget to check for
permission issues if you have the slimserver service running as a
different user account.

I have my music folder on a mapped networked drive (z:\music). After
telling SlimServer to scan z:\music, no albums/artists/genres/etc
appear in SlimServer. It's as if SlimServer either can't access the
drive or doesn't find any music there.
The PC running SlimServer can access z:\music thro
I fixed it - in my case the solution was:

Yes, there was a backslash in the path, and yes, i clicked change &
rescan. The problem was the permissions. I have set all permissions in

The two things to check are i) have you entered the path to the music
files correctly in the Music Folder box of the basic settings page (and
then clicked on "Change" to set and save it). If you have entered it as
you showed in your post then you are missing a leading backslash. ii)

I am having trouble installing shortcuts in my music folder.
I have 4 external USB drives filled with wav and FLAC files, but I
