[slim] Need advice on MP3 amplification

I have visited every electronics store on the area and still cannot solve my problem. I need a device such as either portable (battery operated) speakers or a boom box which contains an input with enough amps to hear my MP3 when I am at the beach or in a boat. I am told amps of 100. Does any one
