The main issue is that the direction if this logic has changed several
times during the existence of the SBs which still confuses a lot of
people.
I agree the current solution is OK but don't really understand why SP

A good rule of thumb regarding the direction of inheritance of
playlists, for adding more players to sync, etc. : The player you sync
"from" (the one you are controlling atm) inherits the playlist. Using
the same logic it's easy to understand how to add more players. Ok,
it's perhaps not intuitive
I'm pretty sure you'll find it in the SBS web ui under Settings > Player

when connected to mysqueezebox.com.

There's a "sync volume" setting in the player settings.
But it's not relative volume sync,

No, I'm not aware and I fight with this problem for much too long.
Can you please give me a hint what you mean with your "st
Thanks for the detailed instructions. It does work, but as you say, it
is not intuitive.
I love iPeng. It's support of multizone synced or not is best I've
seen from all the control options. The only negative I can think of is
that when the iPod touch/iPhone goes to sleep it drops the connec
Okay, here's one way to do it with the web ui. Let's say you want to
sync your SB2, Radio, and one of the SB3s, which we'll call SB3a. Let's
also say that's exactly what the players are named (SB2, Radio, SB3a).
The "drop-down" menu I refer to is the player drop-down menu in the
upper-right side o

As aubuti mentions, the "standard" sync is accessed on old style players
(SB2, SB3, Boom) from the Settings/Synchronize menu. I find it works
best by going to the player you want to "add" to a group of
synchronized players. For example, if player1 and player2 are already
synchronized, and you wa
I'm not home right now so this is from memory, but here are the basic

Sync/unsync with the IR remote is straightforward: Settings >

I recently grew my SB family in a big way from a single SB2 to:
1x SB2, 4x SBv3/classic & 1x SB Radio
For control, we use iPeng, the web UI and IR remotes.
For player sync/un-sync, iPeng is great. The iPeng UI is intuitive and
well designed for multi-zone usage.
Typically, we like to have 2
