I just returned back to Wuhan after 3 weeks in the US, and my first
thought was the stupid Squeezebox was acting up again (this thing has
never been stable here) but after fighting it 3 days (and hearing the
constant not-available-in-your-country message) found this forum. Yes,
same thing here,
Finally get through by rerouting opal.radiotime.com access with VPN
tunnel on LMS server, which runs on qnap nas, by installing a ssh port
forwarding first, then using iptables redirecting access to localhost
ssh listened port. It works fine excepting the ssh connection breaks
after a while

Have you tried adding the Shoutcast app and seeing if that also returns
just streams in your country?

In Shanghai and for 18+ hours now nearly every radio station we access
via msb.com now plays a not available in your country message. Oddly
WCPT Chicago is the only one I've found so far that still works -
they're progressives though so maybe they've got Party connections? My
TuneIn app returns
There are also many complaint that TuneIn Radio app of iPad/iPhone can't
play/display all stations outside of China too - on the Sina Weibo.com
which is a SNS like twitter mainly used by Chinese.
This confirms that TuneIn Radio did make the change on their
directory services to clients in China.
Yes, I see the TuneIn.com site is blocked [in China] when I turn off my
VPN and try to load it. Still, it seems odd that MySqueezeBox.com
should begin experiencing similar denial of access problems at nearly
the exact same time TuneIn did. I've emailed TuneIn customer support
for an explanation
i have the same issue in Shanghai.

Hi,
I just notice that starting from today, from the menu of all players,
the 'search' and 'internet radio' restricted the result to specific
country now. i.e. if I click 'Internet Radio', 'Music', 'Adult
Contemp', 'Stations', all stations returned are only the ones in my
country (China). That
Have you contacted tunein?

Hi,
It's tricky since I can't even connect to http://tunein.com and get
'connection reset' in the web browser. One thing I'm 100% sure is that
Tunein Radio did filtered the stations in the directory/search results,
shows only stations in China to the clients whose player IP is within
China.
I try to connect tunein.com with some other means (by web proxy) and
feedbacks my questions on their website. No idea if this will catch
their eye and get back to me...

I get their website perfectly here in Sweden .
And the app is working to. Listening to a Latino station from LA right
now.
Is this not a great firewall of china type of problem , China is said
to be the worlds largest intranet .
So it is possibly outside tunein's controll to .
