In the same vein, a report for anyone considering trying out 6.5
upgrade.
I've installed a few versions of 6.5 over the last few months on a
test server just to play with, but today was feeling brave so went
for it on production.
On WinXP SP2 Pro with about 7000 tracks, nearly all FLAC.

Just installed, and was comparing the sound of my external DAC vs.
analog outs when I noticed the voices on the White Album would shift
L-R when switching between the two. Reversing the red and black rca's
fixed the problem, and gave the analog out's better central

I stayed away for quite a while after the scanner split, but I've been
back on board for about a month now(using the deb package on Ubuntu
Dapper Drake) and it's working like a charm. The only drawback is that
there are still a few plugins that haven't caught up with the changes
and don't work,
