I have a pair of Sonance Virtuoso 830DR in-ceiling speakers mounted in
the ceiling (where otherwise?) just above the kitchen table.
And of course you have right regarding my decision of turning the SB2
uside-down. I can also add that in the unlikely event that I would use
my SB2

Gonk,
That looks like a nice job, but I have to ask: why did you need to
mount it upside down? Why not just cut the keyholes in the top of the
SB and mount it right-way up?

I will take a wild guess for him. It looks better his way. Also the

Thank you for all comments. The SB2 is now on place in the kitchen, see
the attached pictures. I did two keyholes to mount the SB2 upside down
- the display was turned 180-degrees. With a hidden power amplifier and
in-ceiling speakers - the kitchen has never been a better place to enjoy

So this is off-topic, but are you the same gonk as the fellow from the
Outlaw forums?
So I have now opened the SB2 and yes, you can rotate the display and the
cable is just long enough. I had to cut two small supporting tabs as
some leads on the PCB to the display got in the way. But there

Thank you all!

I suspect you might need a longer cable (if it's anything like my
recollection of the SB1 internals; I haven't opened my SB2 yet), but
certainly not impossible. Someone in another thread was looking for
(and found, ISTR) a longer display cable for use in a custom case.

It looks like you might be able to flip the display board over within
the case.

That ribbon cable looks too short to twist.

It's just long enough, assuming you fold it carefully. (For some
number of early SB2s, the connector was placed incorrectly on the
board and we had to fold the cables by hand.)
