Infrant's ReadyNAS already has a Slimserver add-on that can be
installed. This is by far the best NAS on the market today, and it
beats TeraStation, which I also owned, hands down. LinkStation has no
RAID in it. Aren't you afraid all you music will be gone one day?

Have you managed to get the Kuro Box HG working with Alien BBC? I want
to take my PC out of the loop, but AlienBBC is essential, so wouldn't
do it without that working.
Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated, including a view
of whether any NAS will do the job...

I have Revo Gear's Kuro Box HG (which is made and owned by Buffalo) that
is running Slimserver 6.01 with no problems what so ever. The HG runs a
more powerful CPU (266 mhz) and has twice the memory (128mb). You also

Couldn't say for sure what version is current where, but I have only
recently purchased a Linkstation in the UK and it worked fine with
SlimServer. Out of the box the Linkstation was running firmware version
1.44 and I believe that you can successfully run SS on firmware versions
up to 1.45.

fledged PC running for streaming music...
Has anyone got a SB/SB2 running with a NAS only?
I wish the SB2 could browse the network on its own like the
discontinued Turtle Beach Audiotron.
