Beesley, S - you ought to try the good old, excellent and free TCPMP
(The core pocket media player).
This works extremely well with both flac and mp3.
I agree with autopilot's suggestion of streaming directly from your
file directory rather than through slimserver.
TCPMP also shows the album art!
Windows Mobile Media is trash, utter trash. It cant do anything well,
even local content. It's pathetic on every level.
I recommend Conduites Pocket Player. It the best WM5 music play by far
and does streming quite well. If you want a free program for streaming,
you can also try Mortplayer or TCP

I have the exact as Beesley, S. My device is an Qtek 8310 (WM 5). I
stream perfectly from my PC and I can access http://IP:9000/handheld
from my mobile, but if try to stream from mu mobile I get the same
error as Beesley, S.
I know that this isnt a solution, but now you know your not alone
How do you get GSPlayer to work using security stream connection.
http://username:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:9000/stream.mp3? If I disable
security .. it works, but as soon as I enable and put in url string
into GSPlayer.. it does not connect. Any ideas?
