I've just added the ability to specify how this works on a per player basis to the latest 6.2 - [should be available in subversion
now and the next nightly built]
Please try it out to see if it works for you - the option is on the player
settings - audio web page.

Yes, this is a per-player setting.
Probably should go in Player Settings -> Audio

As per my previous posts I believe this should be an option... I'll have a go
at it - put the bug down to me...
Now the hard bit - agreeing what the option should cover. I think it should be (slight refinement to my previous post on the
matter):

I've upgraded to the 8-30 nightly of 6.1.2 and it still seems to behave
the same. Same= If I'm in the middle of a song and power off, then
power on the song starts at the beginning again instead of from where I

Earlier, I said I don't mind either way. I've changed my mind. Now
that I've thought about it, I'd like the SB2 to pause when the power is
switched off. BUT, only if it starts playing again automatically when
the power is turned on again. To me, if I press the power off in

That's a little roundabout. Why not just put this in a "custom.map"

I barely had my SB long enough to get used to the old way, but I would

I'm with Max on this one - I prefer the "old" behaviour, the change has
thrown me a couple of times now. And, as Aylwin pointed out, its much
easier with the "old" behaviour to revert to the start of the track
that it is to find your pause point with the "new".

Personally, I don't mind much either way. Although I probably have a
slight preference towards stopping rather than pausing when the power
is switched off. On the other hand, it's easier to restart a track
manually than to find your last position within that track.

I too definitely preferred the old behaviour. The new behaviour has now
caught me out several times, but each time I assumed that it was just
something I'd done - I hadn't realised a change had been made. I quite
often use the off button to effectively pause the machine, but I also
