Well they're all different but in the case of mine, WinSlim, it's -just-
a remote. So assuming you actually want to hear something you'll need a
player somewhere.

It depends on the player, but I don't believe any
of these play audio on their own, if that is what
you were asking. Their function is to communicate
with SlimServer via CLI (command-line interface).
They are alternatives to the SlimServer web page
interface at yourslimserverIP:9000.

question if I install one of these remote plugins to the pc which i
run SS .. do I still need to stream to a player on the pc such as to
winamp?
