I think that KDF's plugin always did whereas the version included in
V6.2b1 says
'Random Song Mix'

The 3 & 6, seem to be an IR code problem, I changed the codes and they
are ok.
The rest I think is actually working properly, I was confused by the
display.
It said "playing random tracks"
and I expected it to say "playing random artists" or "playing random
albums"
Tried to set them up, but not working quite right.
Could someone look at this log and let me know what is going
on...
The log should show me:
1. pressing Random by Artist
2. pressing Random by Album
3. pressing Random by Track
4. pressing Random by Artist
5. pressing Random by Album
6.
Great, I'll get them setup as discrete commands on my pronto (touch
screen remote).

If you are using the Random Mix plugin included in V6.2 then the
commands are slightly different i.e.
7.hold = modefunction_PLUGIN.RandomPlay::Plugin->tracks
8.hold = modefunction_PLUGIN.RandomPlay::Plugin->albums
9.hold = modefunction_PLUGIN.RandomPlay::Plugin->artists
