Sonic Impact T-amp. $20.
As long as you don't need a ton of volume. But does produce plenty for
a bedroom or small living room. And at $20 it's worth trying.

I agree with the Onkyo suggestion. They tend to sound better than
anything in their price range. This one is pretty compact and sounds
great (a friend has one).
