I ordered a Transporter direct from Slim Devices in the US on the 5th
November and got a call from the courier in Sydney this arvo - they
will deliver it tommorrow. The SB3 turned up a week ago.
Come on down we have plenty of room and obviously better links with the
US.

I'd thought about ordering direct from Slim, but didn't want to have to
pay duty, VAT, and chance the wrath of the baggage handler.
I ordered from Ripcaster instead.just in time for the shortage :-(
So I cancelled and went with eBuyer.

Just looked at the 'Scan' site, why on earth are the black versions more
expensive than the white ones?!

Haven't noticed it anywhere else, must just be Scan.
I would think they would sell more black (matches our LCD tv and stand)
so THEY would be cheaper.

Could be that the last time they got a shipment of white units the price
was X, when they got a black shipment the price was Y. White seems to be
in stock with them more so perhaps it isn't as popular, so they by them
less often, hence the price is older.
I guess i could ask the Scan guys over

the UK seems to be a prety big market for the SB, and i guess the pre
christmas buying season is kicking in. I wouldn't be surprised if there
is a shortage for a few months. Same thing happened last year, although
the SB3 was still a new product then too. :)
