I'm sure you have tried this (and I'm not sure it will fix your issue) but I was having some flaky things happen as well with the install of 6.5.1 on top of 6.5 and a complete uninstall of slimserver and then a fresh install might help. It cleared up my issues... -- phicar2 ---

Updated to 6.51 on both home (xp home with IE7) and work (xp pro with IE6). In both cases installing over the existing did not work, and I had to erase previous install and reinstall plugins. In both cases after fresh install slimserver would not start automatically at system start-up, at home wou

I have indeed tried all of the above, but thanks for your suggestions. I suppose the next move is just to take v6.5.1 off entirely (again...) and just use one of the older versions I fortunately still have the installs for. It actually seems like the more times I reinstall/rescan the less music

I have similar problems with 6.5.x (starting with 6.5 allready). ) In my case about 25% of all files where not indexed after a complete rebuild of the DB. Anyhow, after a rescan for new files, some of the missing files did show up, and after some 12 or so days with nightly rescan for new files th

I've tried an uninstall and a re-install. My symptom is that Slimserver won't start. I find this message in the event log: C:\PROGRA~1\SLIMSE~1\server\Bin\MSWIN3~1\mysqld.exe: unknown option '--install SlimServerMySQL' I have no idea of how to fix this. Any suggestions? Thanks, Thomas --
