[slim] Relationship between Slim Devices and ProgressAV

I an a bit confused about the versions of SlimServer as found on the Slim Devices web site and those found on the ProgressAV site. I realize that the version on the ProgressiveAV site is the correct one for installing on the QNAP NAS units. Bur I am curious as to who actually is maintaining the QN
