This is how I apply it:
from a command line: C:\replaygain\apply_replaygain.pl "e:\"
my music is all on E:\ and c:\replaygain is where I put the
apply_replay

Hmm, that surprises me, but it's hardly the first time I've been
surprised. Sure, go ahead and select all the tracks for one of the
compilation albums, and scan it

Scan them the same way you do your other albums. AFAIK foobar2000
doesn't care that they are different artists -- it only uses the album
tag for grouping tracks into albums to calculate album RG. Of

Pretty sure if theres a sharing violation it'll just continue scanning
the rest. To find out which one hasen't been tagged open winamp show
album/track replaygain, sort by that column and the file should be on
the top or bottom with no value.

right just had a look under that area but acording to the computer no
files were open however I just rememberd that I was listening to this
particular track just before I started using Foobar and thats why,
changed tracks on the SB and it worked a treat :-)

If the music is on a Windows computer, go to that computer and open the
run box and enter fsmgmt.msc, then look under "open files" to see what
is in use and which users have the file open. If you leave your players
paused instead of stopped, it will lock the file.

I have just scanned half of my collection which talk about an hour, went
to update all tags and then Foobar tells me it could not update one tag
due to a sharing voilation and because of this I think non of the other
tracks will be or has been updated AR!!
What does the sharing voilation mean
