[slim] SB3 display blank on 'now playing'

After returning from a holiday when everything was turned off - SB3, router, SlimServer, modem - the 'now playing' goes blank with seconds of use of the menus. I've tried resetting the screensaver option and a power recycle but no joy . Any ideas? Thanks [Logged this as a support call but n
