Good that you solved your problem, but note once
Was suspicious my remote had a problem, so opened it. I found the track
had lifted and broken around one of the IR LED leads due to a poor
solder. Fixed it and all is OK again now.

Got my SB3 couple of weeks ago. All working fine.
