My son, who is on 7.01, had a scanning problem too. The scan would never
start, no matter what type of scan was initiated.
Very strange and only after the 7.01 update.
Reinstalling the software fixed the problem

I had a similar problem on my Vista machine. I reinstalled SqueezeCenter
and now its working properly. Definitively not the most elegant
solution. But I don't have the time to deal with this right now.

Not sure if this is done correctly, if not please advise. Note play list
is on C drive, music library on F drive. (F is external drive)

There's been a bug in 7.0.1 which prevented scans on some OSX system
I am using 7.01 and I have 4+ songs in iTunes. However, I cannot
get Squeeze Center to scan beyond 25000 or so. If it set for complete
erase or new music only it still will not scan and show all of my
music. What now?

Starting SlimServer manually using the -d_scan flag would probably be a
good start. Might give a clue as to what the problem is.

I know this topic has come up before, but I haven't found a reasonable
explanation / solution.
In the last weeks a scanning problem has turned up which I did not have
before. Re-scanning my database (50.000+) started to take hours and
hours. Even when I choose to scan for new music only.
Before
I have a scanning problem with a new Linux installation of 6.5.1.
It doesn't find all of the music in my music folder. It finds most of
it, but not all of it. I have checked permissions, pathe checked the
logs and it always comes up with the same number of files, even though
I can see the missing
Since I upgraded to 6.5 when I scan my library the SlimServer gets to
19,632 songs and stops. I've used the debug info to detect the file
that's causing the problem and have checked out the file with
Foobar2000. It plays correctly and all the tags seem to be OK.
The problem appears to be somethin
