A closely related bug was filed a little while back. The problem also
appears if your server uses network storage and that storage is
unavailable for whatever reason.

From the machine's point of view the file doesn't exist any more. Whether it's
been deleted or the disc accidentally not plugged in

changing the SlimServer source code.

Hi all,
I have a silly habit of forgetting to turn on my network hard drive
where my music resides before trying to play a song on the squeezebox.
Slimserver has a silly habit deleting the said song from the library
index whenever this happens. This forces me to do a full library rescan
before I
