That's true. We were working with the AudioEngine guys early on to explore building some companion speakers for Squeezebox, starting with the A5s and trying to scale down. We got distracted with our new friends at Logitech, and later on the A2s have arrived. I haven't heard them personally

I just remembered something - a couple of years ago at Digital Life Slimdevices were demonstrating the SB3 with what I'm guessing were an early prototype of the A2 (or maybe an aborted A1?). They were tiny and powered IIRC, but design wise just like the A2. Alas they weren't loud enough to compete
