You can stream from any server if it has streaming protocol enabled
whether it be music or video. Location of server does not matter much
it might only lead to a big of lag. Remote hosting your data is always
a good idea.

yes, i stream my squeezecenter music from a variety of work locations
and it works flawlessly.

Hi guy
Is it posible to stream my music from a dedicated remote server?
When i say remote i mean in another country with that server hosting
squeeze server streaming to my squeezeboxes?
I dont want to use mp3 locker as i need to run another service on a
server aswell( streaming to smart phone)
