Well I received my Transporter on Friday after contacting at least half
a dozen suppliers before finding one with a Black one in stock. At
least two of the suppliers I contacted implied that there was a price
increase coming, now whether this was just a ploy to get me to back
order one from them I
The news came from the UK distributor at the Heathrow hi-fi show last
weekend. If you are planning on buying one soon, I'd ring them and
check just to be safe.

Given how the exchange rate has gone, it would be completely
unreasonable, but look at the PS3 - it costs more in the UK than
Europe, and more in Ireland than mainland Europe, even though it's the
same currency!
You could buy from Slim direct and pay the VAT and duty and it's about
the same as £1
ALL thoughts I had of buying one would go out the window at £1700.

I've been thinking about getting a Transporter for a while now.
I've just heard a rumour that prices in the UK will be going up soon,
to around 1700 UKP. Does anyone know anything about this?
It seems SB3 prices may come down a little at the same time.
