I upgraded to 6.5.2 and tried the socketwrapper fix, but with no
results. I cann access the titles, but can't hear them. The formats are
checked. Can anybody help:

I was having a very similar problem after upgrading from 6.3.1. to 6.5.1
- everything looked like it was working, including a lot of blinking
lights on my router and switch, but no sound. Tried the socketwrapper
fix and we're back in business. Thanks ChrisNY!

I was so happy it worked... but no sometimes i still don't have any
sound from my alac files and the strangest things happens.
First, now, i have problem can't open file for and 2nd this file i
try to play goes directly in a no genre folder ! It's SF as this no
genre folder didn't exist right

did this alternate socketwrapper file work for the bug you posted?
it certainly seems that SD needs to rewrite theirs, if this ones code
isn't available to them, and isn't full proof anyway.
i am curious as to what it does exactly, and why in 6.5 all was well,
but in newer vers, it isn't.
A change was made to resolve bug 4318 which means that socketwrapper is
now always used when transcoding formats. Prior to this it was only
used for some radio formats. Unfortunately this appears to have
triggered the problem that socketwrapper does not work with some
security software.

Btw, MPC files also weren't playing until I updated to this new
socketwrapper.
