After dabbling with squeezeplug on raspberry pi and o2 joggler devices I
switched to buying Squeezebox original hardware on eBay. Had problems
with network and terrible music syncing, always drifting, on the home
brew stuff.
Since switching to a system of booms and receivers the syncing is

In this case it's not a safer bet - Rhapsody won't work on a raspi!

I purchased a store demo off ebay a couple years back. I've had
absolutely no issues with it.

I purchased a Touch off ebay not too long ago. I think if you find a
seller that has good ratings and they say it's in good condition, you're
reasonably safe. I've been seeing them in the $200 and up range of late
although if/when you find a new one, they're much pricier.

Of course you can, but if you want something small you can leave on

I've good experiences doing so. (No experience with ebay.com, though,
I've bought on ebay.de.)
But a Touch? I'd rather build one myself similar to this:

I know what you mean. A raspi with DAC and picoreplayer is a cheaper and
in my view safer bet.
A used Touch is still a big investment with no guarantee that it will
work long term.

Hi there,
I currently have a Touch, an SB3 and a Radio, and I'm looking to pick up
another Touch on eBay (basically, to replace the SB3 since Rhapsody no
longer works on SB3's). I'm curious what experiences folks here have
had in picking up used Squeeze devices on eBay. Anything to watch out
