Looks like the official release for Linux is still 7.4 and I've had this
issue a couple of times with my controller so far.
When is 7.41 due to be an official upgrade?

Yes, there was a bug that was referenced in another thread where the
controller slowed down as a function of how long it is on due to some SW
problem. The scrolling is also affected. This was fixed about last
week in 7.4.1. I've been running 7.4.1, and the problem is indeed
fixed, and it seems

Since I upgraded the controler to 7.4 it reacts very slowly on the
volume dial and the buttons. If I press the buttons several times
quickly, the volumne counts up (or down) about one step a second. Same
if I use the dial, the controler needs up to 5 seconds just to step 3-4
step up ord down.
