Netbook is 1024 x 600 - at 800x600 it fills the screen okay but the
display of text, etc in other programs is awful. Probably just a
netbook thing.

That is weird. It is pretty much the same as running a non-fullscreen
skin and going fullscreen.
What resolution are you running at?
Have you tried to minimize/re-maximize just to see?
Perhaps changing to the new skin, closing the app, re-launching it
(non-maximized) and only then going maximiz

I haven't done so yet. That project is on hold for a while. But I
thought that SqueezePlay might work well as a player on a car computer.
It has touch interface with roughly the same

One possibility is that some laptop screens don't actually scale, if you
feed them a screen that is smaller than their native resolution, rather

The SqueezePlay user interface doesn't scale well to anything close to

the user interface, I can't imagine what you'd do with anything much

Castalla... do you run Squeezeplay "maximized" ?
I realised that if we set the launch option in windows to make the
software run "maximized", that it will not be "re-sized" at its full
size but only occupy it without resizing so most of the screen isn't
being used. Its rather ugly.

I am getting OK at understanding their scripts and have altered the skin
to my tastes, having a custom background and resizing the visualization.
So far that's the extent of my understanding of their scripts

Thanks.
Sort of works - but although I get a big font, it isn't filling the
screen - probably my netbook resolution?
Pity you lose the back arrow ...

the files are meant to replace those already present in C:\Program

I know this is quite an old thread, but I used info in there to manage a
fullscreen skin for squeezeplay, that I think people could be interested
in.
I found out in this thread that there used to be a fullscreen skin in
squeezeplay, and the name of the file to change to re-enable it.

I'm almost positive there used to be a fullscreen option in Squeezeplay.
Has that been taken away?

Does squeezeplay only work with the latest version of slimserver? I
cant find the settings screen to enter the IP addy of my slimserver.

Thanks!

I'm loving SqueezePlay! There's no full screen version of it though, and
Logitech say it will never leave beta and it's mainly for devs to play
around with rather than production software. I can understand why,
because it directly competes with the very expensive duet controller.
I'm still amazed
Squeezeplay is forever-beta, so you have to look in the "nightly"
directory (http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/). You can take
your pick of 7.5 or 7.6 -- I would go with the latter.

Do you mean the Choose Player function to control players other than SP

That is correct. Something that looks like Apple created it would be
fab. Itunes meets squeeze server. Lovely.
