I'm using slimserver on debian with everything stored in my mysql
database. New playlists seem to be stored exclusively in the database, is
there anyway to disable this and possibly export my playlists from the
database to m3u files stored in my playlist folder. I like to sync my ipod

If you have a playlist location set in server settings SS should save a
playlist file in that location - provided the user running slimserver
has write access to the directory.
Check the permissions on the playlist folder.
