If you're in iTunes you can just press the refresh button for a new playlist. This would be picked up by SlimServer on the next rescan.
However - I wrote a plugin that continuously reads Squeezebox playlist tracks from the iTunes Party Shuffle playlist! (It only works on Windows at the moment) I also wrote a plugin for saving iTunes ratings from your Squeezebox.
