I love IRC and agree with Terri about too many tools. Apparently, there is an IRC gateway for Slack that can be turned on per-project. At least that's what I found after a quick search; I know nothing about Slack so it could be a misunderstanding on my part. Is there any interest in turning

Slack is much, much nicer than IRC from a usability perspective. I hate IRC and I was pretty happy with Slack. We ditched slack because of the closed aspect; we didn't think it contributed to community building. But it is a truly nice system of software and clients. --titus On Sat, Aug 15, 201
