Hello fellow Carpenters!

I recently started working at a company called Xometry in the DC area
(Bethesda), and we are hiring for several positions. Specifically relevant to
people on this list:

* Computational Scientist
(https://www.xometry.com/careers/computational-scientist-opportunity/)
* Senior Data Scientist
(https://www.xometry.com/careers/senior-data-scientist-opportunity/)
* Systems Engineer (https://www.xometry.com/careers/systems-engineer/)

A little more about Xometry (lifted directly from the marketing copy, written
by people who write better copy than I):

> Xometry is a rapidly growing startup that is disrupting the low-
> volume manufacturing market with technology that integrates 3D
> printing with traditional manufacturing and proprietary software.
> Our mission is to provide advanced manufacturing capabilities for
> all, so that any customer, big or small, has access to the factory
> of the future. Our customers include Fortune 500 companies,
> government agencies, small businesses, and startups. Software
> development plays a critical role in achieving this mission by
> optimizing the time and cost to manufacture highly complex parts and
> reaching the 13 million CAD users via the web. The management team
> has a proven track record of founding startups and taking them to
> successful exits. Since our founding in October of 2013, we’ve
> raised $16 million and are growing rapidly.

After four months of working here, I can say that there’s no techbro culture
here. In fact, our CTO is a woman and the team I’m on has a 50% women to men
ratio (granted n=4, but still). The problems we are solving are interesting and
deep, the leadership team is very competent and accomplished, and DC is a great
place to live.

We are looking to hire people yesterday, so if you apply you should get a
response almost immediately. If you have any questions, please feel free to
email me at jsm...@xometry.com or joshua.r.sm...@gmail.com.

Thanks,
Joshua
