Hi, I hope that people don't mind me advertising this here. A number of the Software Carpentry community have been authors, reviewers and editors for the Journal of Open Research Software, so hopefully it isn't off-topic.
The Journal of Open Research Software is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes Software Metapapers describing research software with high reuse potential as well as research papers on Issues in Research Software that cover different aspects of creating, maintaining and evaluating open source research software. We're currently seeking new Associate Editors for the journal. This is a voluntary position where you will be responsible for managing the review of software papers submitted to the journal. Candidates for Associate Editors should be actively working in an area where research software is used, however we do not require candidates to have a PhD or be based within a university. For full details, please see the announcement: http://openresearchsoftware.metajnl.com/announcement/ Please feel free to email me if you have questions about the position or the journal, and pass on this announcement to anyone you think would be a good candidate.
