Beau, Have you tried changing the file extension by doing a "save as" rename it the original name with a number after it, so u r essentially making a copy to email, and change the extension to .pps ? This should allow power point to open the file, regardless of what version of windows they r run

I also believe you can change the default keyboard language immediately b4 u start editing a document,( of corse depending on which vs of windows u r running!) when u open the doc and select the default language in tools Options Unicode or there should b a spot to define the language u want t
