Dear Open Office People,
I have recently changed to Open Office from Wordperfect 6 (because my new
printer and wordperfect don't agree). I would like to be able to use
variable line spacing as I had in the WP. Is this possible? I'm an English
teacher in Spain and I often do songs for my students and it would be nice
to be able to space the lines to fit the page (it looks better).
Thanks.

HI Patsy
This is fairly easy if you learn to use styles:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOoAuthors_User_Manual/Writer_Guide/Working_with_Styles
You could set up a style for general text, and one or more for your song
lyrics. Save that in a template and you can then reuse it whenever you
need it. You can modify the paragraph style if you need to adjust for a
particular document- Right click on the text and Edit Paragraph style.
