Hi Jordan
When I have a folder full of OpenOffice documents
saved in different formats, their icons all have the same Writer icon. I
think
they should say "ODT", "DOC", etc. on the icon to be told apart more
quickly.
Icons are customisable in most operating systems. There's a how-to about

Hello developers,
I just downloaded OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 and I am getting familiar with
the program commands, concentrating mostly in Impress and Writer.
There is one small cosmetic change that I would like to recommend. I get
confused with the icons when I open Windows Explorer... they all have

package in the insta

Are you talking about icons on the desktop or icons inside of OOo (e.g.
in the "File-New" menu?

Where can I find large icons for OOo components?
Presumably they are in the source code, but it would take ages for me to
download it and rummage there. Where else might I find the icons?
I'm looking for something large enough to re-use in brochures and posters.

Got a fun one- when i install OpenOffice 2 on an NT4 workstation it has

another icon over the standard one - any other icon (eg recycle bin
icon, Novell Icon, Quake Icon).

Hello all,
I'm new on these lists, and decided to write after seeing that OO 2.0 is a
big step forward compared to 1.x. I tried to switch to OO in my
organization but the difference between MSO and OO was too big.
Now it seems much better, so I guess I'll make another try after OO2 is
released
I agree to that. When my boss writes it all in caps
she's really angry...

HI, DEVELOPRES
I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE MY OPINION ABOUT THE ICONS OF OPENOFFICE.ORG IN THE
WINDOWS START MENU. THE DESIGN IS AWEFULL. IN OTHER WORDS THEY ARE UGLY.
DIFFICUILT TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN DIFFERENT PRODUCTS. OF COURSE I CAN READ THE
TEXT DESCRIPTION BUT NICE ICONS/FIRST EXPRESSION IS I
