Could you give us more details about what seems different? The build and
packaging is a fully automated process, so there shouldn't be any difference
(unless there is a build issue of course).

Note that the ServletConverter class is only available in the SVN trunk or
in the latest snapshot:
http://www.restlet.org/downloads/1.0/current.zip
it seems that the source in current.zip is slightly out of sync with the
jars. Resource.java is a case in point.

Thanks for launching this thread. Your description of the Restlet behavior
is accurate and your solution is valid. You don't have to worry about HTTP
headers being streamed as the Restlet API fully decouples the request
reading, handling and response writing tasks.

I want my REST service's GET requests to be cached by a forward caching service.
By default, my Restlet responses are not getting cached. The service we use
says:
"Our system does not support Vary headers with any value other than
Accept-Encoding. This is because this setting would imply
