Your reply is one step closer; except that it's for boats. I think
"modes_rx", is the app for aircraft. I would like to send the data to Google
earth without having to write to a file, unless the file can be opened by
Google Earth and the terminal application at the same time. The file would
behave as a FIFO and would have to be opened in a shared mode. It's trivial
to do with in windows or even in DOS; but have no clue for Linux or Python.
