Hi Josh, Thanks for the advice. On balance, I would prefer to stick with Ubuntu 18.04 and roll back GNU Radio to version to 3.8. I'm running some fairly "experimental" (i.e. fragile) software applications on my laptop at the moment, and I am a bit nervous about breaking them with an OS upgrade.
