I wasn't really able to reproduce so easily. Maybe some corner case of
configurations.
However, what I did was I created my X11 overlay window as a normal decored
window and configured openbox to remove the decor and keep it always on
top. This seems to work fine in all situations.

About auto-completion, actually it is working in Gemas. I was kind of
expecting it to auto-complete automatically as you type or add . after
object. And it does not seem to support . (yet).
And PC does not seem to be able to use Gemas as editor..
