Besides the fact that 5 is hopelessly out of date? I'd use Google to
enumerate the differences. The big one is MX is a Java based
application and runs on common app servers (e.g. WebSphere, Tomcat,
etc.)

Eric, welcome to the list. There's actually quite a few differences because
CF made the jump to Java back in version 6. Are you migrating a site from
CF5 or something? Feel free to provide some more information so we can help.
