Hi Akanksha,
As Aymeric has said - this sounds like a great project, but it isn't
appropriate for Django's Summer of Code program - we are looking for
projects to work on and improve Django itself.
You may want to try and get in contact with the Google Crisis Response team:

Correction, I run the test again, it does time out:
*OperationalError: (2003, "Can't connect to MySQL server on
'x.rds.amazonaws.com' (60)")*
It just takes a very long time to do so.

Hi,
Today I discovered Django doesn't give any feedback if it cannot connect to
a DB instance during the start of runserver. For example, my allowed IP
address on RDS was incorrect from the machine I was trying to connect from,
Django just appears to hang, forever unpon running the manage runse
Hi Akanksha,
As far as I know, the DSF looks for GSoC proposals to work *on* Django, not
*with* Django.
While there’s definitely some merit in your idea, I don’t think it would
qualify as a Django GSoC.

Hello everyone!
I am currently working on this project of mine and was looking forward for
your feedback. I am looking forward to present this idea as my idea for
Google Summer Of Code, and I am really looking forward to join this
community and contribute whatever I can for this community.
Please don't crosspost to both django-developers and django-users. The
topic of this list is the development of Django itself, django-users is for
usage questions such as this one. Thanks,
Karen

Hi folks!
The propose is add post and pre signals for commit and rollback actions (as
sqlalchemy orm events). This allows attach some code when a transaction is
committed or rolled back.
I have some problem, such as send email only when a transaction is
committed successfully, and it's can be don
